Canada Water Dockside

Role: Art Direction, Photography, Design, Film Graphics Production

Brief

Canada Water Dockside is a major new development in Southeast London, transforming a historic dockside location into a vibrant new neighbourhood for the local community. The developers needed a campaign that felt authentic and community-rooted, celebrating the people, heritage, and vision behind the development.

Approach

I held portrait sessions with the key people behind the development — residents, developers, and architects. I photographed each session and accompanied every shoot with interviews. These conversations built a richer picture of the project and the community it was being created for. From there, I produced a series of campaign posters. Each was a bold montage that combined location photography, portraiture, and graphics. I also produced the graphics for a short promotional film about the development.

Outcome

The campaign was rolled out across poster and billboard design, online platforms, and marketing suites, used by stakeholders to build awareness and understanding around the development. Through the stories of the residents, developers, and architects involved, it brought to life how the project came together, who shaped it, and what it means for the community it was built for.
