NWG Network
The NWG Network is a UK-based charity and a network of over 12,000 practitioners dedicated to preventing child exploitation and trafficking. They identified a pressing need to improve awareness of child abuse within faith-based communities.
The task was to create an engaging animation to help parents, community members, faith leaders, and volunteers recognise signs of abuse and respond appropriately. The animation needed to be inclusive, accessible, culturally sensitive, and created in multiple languages to ensure it could empower people from all backgrounds. A fascinating aspect of this project was the need to avoid any reference to a particular faith, ethnicity or gender
The animation and illustrations became a part of NWG Network’s safeguarding toolkit, enabling broader engagement across faith communities. The animations multi-language availability allowed it to reach a wider audience. The project helped to raise awareness, reinforce the importance of acting to protect vulnerable individuals, and gave the audience the confidence to open up conversations if they had concerns.
